Blackbeard the Pirate Slated for 2018 Missoula Children's Theatre

     What starts as a lazy day at the beach, quickly turns into mystery and adventure when the search for Blackbeard’s treasure begins! Tales both past and present lead us on a search of untold riches. Just where has Blackbeard and his crew hidden their legendary treasure?

     Auditions for the production will be held on June 18 at South Georgia State College's Peterson Hall. Rehearsals are from June 18-23 with performances set for June 23 @ 2 pm and 5 pm. Local actors in Grades 1-12 are encouraged to audition. This is sure to be a performance full of adventures and laughs.

Jack and the Beanstalk performances slated for June 18
 

     What happens when a young boy plants wonder beans in his own backyard? For Jack, it is the beginning of a great adventure. Audiences are invited to come along June 17 when the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) and more than 50 local students present Jack and the Beanstalk. Performances are slated for 2 pm and 5 pm.

     The local cast features Grace Lorys as Jack, Hailey Flynn as Mother, Hannah Williams as Milky White, Lenira Barlow as the Harp, Shayla Belle Courson as Jill and Alex Henry as the legendary Giant. Adding a unique twist to the story will be an exceptional mix of characters including  Elijah Butler, Laney Brown, Kadee Fussell, Hannah Gilbert, Walker Hester, Caroline Maley, Nallee Mobley, Hannah Rogers, Annee Waldron, and Kate Waldron as the Farmers;  Lenira Barlow, Jessica Briceno, Keeley Doherty, Sierra Dorminey, Emma Hutto, Jack Lingenfelter, Laura Ashlyn Pridgen, Jane Ashley Rowell, Kaitlyn Tanner, and Avery Thompson as the Merchants; and Josiah Anthony, Paloma Briceno, Maggie Brown, Miley Brown, Aidan Burnam, Finn Doherty, Adison Fender, Jocelyn Fender, Brianna Gentry, Kaylee Gentry, Katie Gillis, Holly Hutto, Paige Lewis, Allie Shook, Faith Smith, JaKalya Sutton, Jesse Tyre, and Sarah Grace Williams as the Circus Performers. Johnna Beth Butler, Patrick Lenzo, Olivia Merritt, Savannah Pace, Reece Robinson, Jordan Sutton, Kendall Thompson, and Addyson Wood will appear as the Wonder Beans.        

     Laura Ashyln Pridgen and Chas Pridgen will serve as Assistant Directors throughout the week, while Jane Hatten will serve as accompanist. Mary Esther Braswell and Pat Doherty will act as videographer and photographer, respectively. Directors for the production are MCT's Sarah Greene and Gabriella Cuebas.

     Jack and the Beanstalk will be presented at 2 pm and 5 pm at South Georgia College's Peterson Hall. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children and are available at the door.
